API

Contrived Example
Timmy wants to sync his products from his ecommerce store to his Amazon store but his ecommerce store fails to provide an API to allow him to perform this custom behaviour. This make Timmy a very unhappy camper.
CSS
# copied!A programming language used on a website to change the fonts, colours, sizing, and much more of a website.
Contrived Example
My programmer Tim just used some CSS to change the font on my website, I am very happy with the result.
Data Migration

Wendy wanted to migrate from Shopify to WordPress so she required a Software Engineer to help her migrate the data.

Cara, an astute entrepreneur, installed a plugin on her emails to allow her to see when people open her emails. Trust must expensive to buy these days.
SEO

Contrived Example
John, the overworked plumber, wants to show up when people search on Google without paying for ads. I bet he doesn't know SEO on his website will do the job for him.
Shopify
